Here are the steps to create a Google account. Use Google Docs to collaborate and share ideas for the project. Create one now.
Open Google
If you do not have an email account, click on Mail and then Sign up for Gmail account
Sign into Google. If you do not have a Google account, click on Create an Account and complete the information requested
Now that you have an account created, one person in the group needs to open Google Docs and do the following:
To open Google Docs, at the Google homepage click on the “More” link at the top and select “Documents”.
The one person in the group needs to click on “New” and select “Document”.
File menu > Rename and name the document with your set # and then both partner’s first names (ex: set 4-jane/joe)
Click on the Share button and select Share with Others. You will now invite the other member of your group by entering their email address into the box and add napless@lmsd.org as your 3rd partner.
Now all members of the group can go in and access the document.
This will be the location where the members will save information to use for their project. Note that the teacher has access to the Revision History which shows which person added the information. You will be graded for the work that you have done through Google Docs as well as the final product.
